As part of their ‘Myths and Legends’ topic, P3 have been learning about the Gods and Goddesses of ancient Greece. They have even been portraying the Gods themselves, deciding the fate of mortals from the comfort of Mount Olympus!
As a reward for filling their marble jar, P3 chose to wear their pyjamas to school! General consensus was that pyjamas are much cooler than school uniforms!
Primary 4 have been learning about numbers and greetings in French. We have been playing lots of games to help us use the new vocabulary that we learn. We had a challenge to see who could ask the most people in school how they were feeling using only French words.
The afternoon Nursery classes enjoyed their trip to Tyrebagger to pick their Christmas trees.
Nursery 1 built tracks that they balanced on.
Nursery 2 enjoyed a nature walk up the Gramps.
Well done to our winners.
P5/6M did a grammar hunt with Mrs Holland, searching for nouns and adjectives around the classroom and sorted them onto people pictures.
Primary 5/6F enjoyed a tour of the STV studio and watched the afternoon news being broadcasted live from the gallery. We were lucky enough to meet Norman MacLeod and Chris Harvey as part of the tour too.
Before the October holidays, we rounded off our “All Dressed Up” topic by finding out about clothes from a different decade. We could get our information from a book, the internet or even a family member! Here are some of the things we brought in to school to show.
